First time to AI
Making my first trip to AI July 26th-29th and want to take my kids fishing ... What would you folks recommend for a first time visitor as far as great fishing holes ... Is pier fishing good in OC? or should I take them into bay? or just surf? Thanks guys!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum,,,if you plan on fishing from the surf, all you need are kingfish rigs with fishbite - bloodworms and/or squid,,,can catch spot, kings, and croaker,,,light tackle is all you need and at times they can be quite a few caught, making it entertaining for the kids,,,kings are good eats too.
Stop by any tackle shop, like Harbor Tackle, and they can set you up. Have fun.

ther are also some 1/2 day charters in the bay and even some 2hr charters for Flounder fishing inside the inlet
 I think they even supply the tackle good luck and welcome aboard
