Default Planning another sharking trip, but have a few questions

My dad wants to head back down to the beach for some sharking, and we might bring a little company too.....kinda have my own little fling, and of course ANYONE is invited.

The problem is we dont know some of the Regulations.

We dont know wether to got to Assateague or 3r's up at bethany.

For those who know the 3r's regulations:
Are fires OK on the beach?
How much is a permit for a truck on the beach (only a couple nights)?
Are you allowed to park in the 3r's parking lot overnight?

Assatuegue:
What is the cost for a permit for a truck on the beach for a couple nights?
Can you park in the parking lots overnight (for those who dont have the ORV's)?

One thing that I was also wondering is if the beaches affect the shark fishing. I know that at Bethany (3r's) I was able to have awesome succes casting form the shore, but there were no breakers out where the sandbar was (waves never break out there). But at assateugue, there are breakers out by the bar, and I'm wondering if this affects the amount of bigger sharks that move in close compared to Bethany?

ANy help would be great!

BEN

as far as I can remember no open fires on DE beaches, and you have to buy a whole year if you want to drive on both beaches. So I would head for AI since you can have fires, and the pass is a 12 month pass(13 if you time it right) and not a Jan1-Dec31 like DE. AI is $70 bucks for orv sticker (anyone) and DE(last time I got one) was $50 instate and $100 out of state.

The new price for a nonresident permit in Delaware is $130. You can park all night at 3 R's Road parking lot. It's by the honor system and I think it costs $5.

I'm really trying to get this organized......................anyone know of a website that has the regulations??
its pretty urgent, because i need to make plans today.

i really want to get down there and fish with you guys. Maybe we would do a 2 nighter....head to 3r's for one night, and then hitch a ride with someone to assateague so I can see some of you again.

- No fires on DE beaches.
- 130 bucks for 4wd permit for out of state.
- You can park in 3rs overnight as long as you pre-pay for the 2nd days parking to stay out of violation.
- 70$ for AI orv permit. Lasts one year from purchase date. Another 15$ for migratory bird stamp(post office) or 20 for annual entrance pass(ranger station).

Hope this helps ya out. Good luck fishin.
