No, they are not. My daughters wanted to use theirs when we were down and although there are nothing in the rules that say no, the Ranger said Metal Detectors are prohibited on federal land

There is no wi-fi available on AI, tried looking for it.
Now, if I could put this old satellite dish on a tall pole we might be able to do something..... Problem is, there isn't any public wi-fi within range.
Haven't messed with it since my laptop died though....

Even a card provided by one of the carriers would be pretty spotty if at all.
Their cell signal works in places but they don't have the wi-fi pumped down that way.

But ya never know when they might do it, may already have within the last month.

I have mobile web on my phone, and it works pretty good even a couple miles past the BP. wouldn't want to trade stocks but for the weather and the like it's functional
