Default Fishing reports for July 19 - 25

Pretty much the same scenario as last week,,,croaker, kings, spot, sandtigers, and small sandbars,,,still waiting for a few more larger sandbars to arrive,,,water temps are now consistantly above 70*.

Get your feet in the sand, go fish and have fun!

Wensdays fishin report, got out to AI around 4pm caught a 15 inch flounder, and many atlantic sharpnose sharks, and one king. After dark all I managed was skate, skate and more skate, no runs on my shark rod just cleaned off by crabs a couple of times. It was nice to fish with Javier even though he has never posted. Wont be out again until Mon eve weather permitting.

I went out yesterday evening for a few hours. Fished the walkover and found a neat little spot. Gotta get rid of the tourists though.

Of course I happen to be a tourist!

Hooked into a ray that I had on for awhile, the hook pulled free after 5 minutes or so. Landed a nice little doggie that went about 3 1/2 feet or so. At least I think it was a doggie. I had a line out for panfish but no takers. Not one skate to report either.

First time I was out surf fishing in awhile. Good to get out again. Will try to get out before I leave on Sunday.

Hit AI with the family and had a pretty productive day of the small variety fish,,,good size kings with the incoming tide (got some nice heads for the drum tourney), spot, croaker and little baby sharks,,,gotta give my bro credit, he caught the most kings,,,water was stained which seems to always provide a good bite for kings, used fishbites - bloodworm variety and squid combo,,,yaked out baits only twice and couldn't hold with my home made weights, at least 16 - 20oz's of weight if not more, I guess cinder blocks would have been in order,,,not so much the current, but the south wind, constant moderate size wave action pulling the line up the beach and a little grass created a large bow in the line, increasing the drag on the line pulling the bait down the beach quick,,,gave up after the 2nd time out,,,tough yaking out conditions all together, still fun .

My daughter, Amy and her cousin Katie, got into the action,,,in fact they both caught the biggest fish of the day,,,Katie caught a nice size croaker and Amy with a king,,,putting my brother and I to shame,,,and Amy caught her first shark .

Also saw a guy on a bullet bike trying to get out on the beach and saw a guy messing with his rod with the reel in the sand .
