Default Awww Man, I'm ready now!!!!

Well, I didn't get a chance to hunt last year, and wasn't sure about this year either.....Well, I have permission to hunt about 800 acres 30 min from me. I am working the 3-midnight shift today so a buddy and I took off around 9am this morning and headed out to go shoot a little. Got to the property and headed down to the range that they had put in. Not long, about 100 yds. We took 3x12ga, a 308, 8mm Mauser, 338, .22 semi rifle, 30.06 bolt, S&W .44, S&W .357 and a .50 black powder...Yeah I think thats all we took, well not including the 1000 rounds or so we took. (500 or so was .22LR). We shot for 3 hours straight!!!!! Man my shoulder hurts now, but I've gotten the bug, I can't wait to get my license and hit the woods. It looks like I'm going to have to spend some time down in the basement this weekend pulling out the tree stands and hunting stuff..... Guess I'm gonna miss the fall striper run, well at least until I have to run down to NC in Dec/Jan just to find one.....anyhow, I'm stoked, I haven't had that much fun shooting in a long time. Boy I forgot how much fun a .22 and box of 500 rounds is!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice........I saw some deer, raccoon and fox tracks down by the range, tons of crows (wish they would've come in just a bit closer) but nothing worth wild live today...But I know they are out there. A couple 9-10pts come off this property every year, along with plenty up to 8pt and does. At dusk you can see them in herds of 20-30 on this land.
