Default Oct 6 - Pocono fishing/family fun day

Ok, with my weekend trip to OC and AI postponed due to weather, I decided to take the day off anyway and head AWAY from the storm back to some familiar water in the poconos, combined with some wandering through antique shops, etc to keep my wife happy

Results:
Fished Pecks Pond for about 3 hours - with the typical dozens of hungry pickerel hitting thompson spinners(although they'll basically slam anything that flashes - kinda like the bluefish of freshwater!) sizes ranged from 15 - 20inches.

Later in the day I got about 1 hour of fishing in at Wallenpaupack (after antique shops in Hawley )l....1 nice large mouth bass to show for it. he hit a "salmon fly" colored rooster tail.

All in all a nice day, no rain - nice time with the kids and wife.....I needed a day like that - VERY relaxing.

Now, I'm decompressed and ready for some SERIOUS fishing ...ETA 10/16 on AI.......more to come on that.

I'll throw up a few pictures tomorrow (for you saltwater guys that don't see pickerel and LMB too often )

Very cool. Walking that fine line by keeping the Mrs. happy and getting your fishing fix. Well done, Steve.

nice. Like to see the pics. Find any good antiques? I grew up in the "antiques capital of the world". I remember someone bought an ugly picture just for the frame, next thing when switching out the pics, they found an original Declaration of independence. Remember that story? Was a few years back.

Ok - here are some of the pics. The leaves were really beautiful, the weather was a little chilly, but a whole lot better than what it was down south
