Going to have at least my dad with me that weekend. I'm hoping I can get a few buddies out there to help me celebrate my birthday as well. Was considering finding my old CB as I'm not sure how sprint and cingular work down there. Anyone know? I know for a fact my Sprint only barely works at the campground, so once down into the ORV area I'm guessing it won't work well at all.

Most people I know can get a signal pretty far down, I have Verizon and I have not found a spot where I don't have a signal.

If anyone is interested in judging the tournament this year, contact Harbor Tackle at 410-213-9365.

I have verizon and can always find a spot after walking around for a minute.

LOL that doesn't help me too much if I don't have verizon huh? Buying a new CB would be easier and cheaper than getting a new cell service

if you are at a point in your current contract where you can get a new phone, alot of the newer phones get much better reception. My new phone keeps a signal even in areas where I used to dropp calls regularly.

It's always good to fish with friends in this tournament. It's a long one and I'm sure someone in your group will have a Verizon phone. If not, I guess the CB is the way to go.

Now, getting someone on the other end might be a challenge! It can be a tricky business out there, but we do alright. I judged last year and not TOO many complaints.

Yes, I am actually in a position where I can get a new phone, HOWEVER, I am also in a position where I'm not bound by any contract, and have an INCREDIBLE plan that no one can even come close to touching right now. 2000 anytime min, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited PCS to PCS calls, Unlimited Picture mail, unlimited text messages, unlimited web browsing all for about $100 a month. That amount of options and min would cost me almost $200, sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread....Back to the tourney, CBs aren't the way to go then? Guess I need to find someone with a verizon phone to hang out with.......How many people would you recommend for a group size? actually how many is too many?

You may come & go as often as you like and you can fish whenever you like. You do not have to fish the entire time. The tournament hours are from Friday 12:01 AM till Sunday 3:00 PM. You may pick when you want to fish as long as it is in this allotted time.

Bev,

Is kayaking allowed or must baits be casted from shore and fish landed from shore?

I'm pretty sure it's from land only, CB. No kayaking allowed.
