Default Grand Banks Report from the R/V Hugh R. Sharp

Heya everyone long time no post... We just finished the second leg of an 36 day scallop survey. The survey started at the Carolina Virginia border and went all the way to the Canadian border, and let me tell you there was some crazy cool fishing to be had... granted we cheated it was all dredging but still you can't go wrong with almost 60 pounds of seafood each among the catch was an 18 pound lobster(along with most of his extended family) a bunch of monster flounder, some haddock, monk fish, and of course SCALLOPS here are a few pics. I am getting ready to throw some lobster on the grill now.

Scallops???
Did I tell you I hate you Ollie?
Hahahaha, of course I don't!!!

Oh man, what a seafood extravaganza ya'll had.
Some pretty cool Starfish. What are the tanish things on the sorting table, sand dollars?
If so, you're rich!

I'll have a snort of Scotch for ya, and a ceegar too!
Mmm, that was good...
Enjoy your trip!

Yeah those are sand dollars, and that was one of the lighter tows. I have never seen that many sand dollars before. Towards the end we were praying for those sand dollar tows cause they were easy to sort.....
