Default memorial day weekend fishing reports from AMSA post it here

Amsa #1025okay guys i know there were some fish caught out there lets here who got what.

This past weekend Joe Whitcomb (AMSA member from Carroll County Md) and myself spent countless hours on AI trying to land the big one. We fished Friday night late as well as up early at 5 AM both Saturday and Sunday morning with little luck, other than a few small blues, a small trout, countless skate and decent size shark. We were at a low on Sunday morning around 11 am just about to throw in the towel and take a break when Joe’s pole bent right over and stayed over after a bit of a fight we could see through shore break that it was a striper and a big one at that. He brought it into the wash as I got between him and the breakers and the striper was his. It was 42 inches long and very impressive. Not sure of the weight, he was taking it over Monday morning for check in. That was Joe’s first big srtiper in the surf and we were all so exited to see him land such a huge fish.
