Default Mon 7/24

Anyone (other than Bohica, I can't go offshore on mon) fishing anywhere? I have mon off from being on call this weekend and want to try and hit the water someplace. If I knew there were gonna be a few more people I would consider AI, but thats a long drive for me just for one day of fishing.

Looks like I'm up for a drive mon morning......I figure I'll be getting up around 4am to make the drive out, that should put me there by 8am or so. again based on gas prices, I'd be stupid to drive my explorer (especially since I don't have the permit yet) So I will either need a ride onto the beach or I'll just be fishing right at the beginning of the ORV area.

So sam, if I'm only going to be fishing during the day, should I bring my sharking stuff are there enough in the water to make it worth it? What time do you think you guys are interested in hooking up and how long will you be able to stay out? I figure if I leave around 7-8pm I'll be home before midnight That should be enough sleep for work on tue.

Actually, last year Coop tore up the sharks during the day. I don't really care to fish during the day anytime. I have the best luck from around 6pm - midnight. Also, getting fresh bait is going to be tough since the weather is so crappy this weekend. We could always fish for the little critters and take them out as bait. Hmm....

Sounds good to me......I can also hit the asian market here, they typically have fresh squid, shrimp, blues, mullet, croaker, butterfish and all those others that we use for bait....I'll check them out tomorrow and see what I can get.

Well, I just talked to my dad, it appears he's going to be joining me on mon as well. He may even be getting his permit for his truck.....

If everything goes as planned, I intend on leaving at 4am, swinging into Harbor Tackle to get some reels spooled up with new line, pick up some bait and hopefully be driving onto AI somewhere around 8am. Never had a permit on AI before so I'm not really sure where to go, just look for the Big Red Heavy Duty Dodge 2500 quad cab.....I'd throw a picture up but I don't think I have one of his truck LOL. Can't wait to get out there and soak some lines again......

Just go to the ranger station (Just past the gate on the left) to get the permit. Make sure you have your shovel, air gage, board, jack, tow rope...

Ok, so I entered the GPS Coords randy posted for the Bullpen, but I intend on driving down the beach, looking for a good cut somewhere. Igor and Sam, what time do you think you two will be hitting the beach? And I know its somewhere in here, but I've searched and can't find it....What am I watching for to drive down the beach? Sam, I know I've seen yours before BUT, it was dark and I was cold and wet LOL, So you'll have to refresh my memory.

Cool, I just hung up with Harbor Tackle, they should still have plenty of fresh bunker tomorrow morning. I plan on picking a bunch up.....So, other than shrimp and squid, should I pick up anything else from the asian market down the street?
