Default Sharkin from the Surf....come on Down!

Hey guys!

I will be making a trip back to the beaches of 3r's, Bethany, and Fenwick this weekend for some sharking.

I am coming down early Saturday and leaving Monday morning.....

Shoot me a PM if you want to come join me and a few others as we try to get some big pullage from the the surf!

One thing- I NEED BAIT! If you happen to know where I could get a hold of a bunch of Skates and/or Rays let me know. The last thing I want to happen is to have sharks chomping at the bit and me stuck without bait....

Also, if you have room in your cooler.....keep any you catch and I can take them off you hands Saturday morning....just PM me and I can give you my cell phone number.

Thanks guys

Ben

Hi Ben,
Where and at what times do you exactly fish. I usually head to Henlopen, but would drive a bit farther to learn how your catching those monster's you have been hooking
Regards,
Joe

I will be fishing all weekend at 3r's or Fenwick. Give me a call at 410 802 2280 and I'll let you know. Me and a few buddies will have quite a few rods set up.....it should be one heck of a good time and I'm SURE we will have a nice shark or two....hopefully more than one every night!!

Ben

Default Sharkin from the Surf....come on Down!

I was down in Salisbury Maryland, yesterday most of the day looking at Kayak's. I did find a used "Scrammbler" w/ a paddle and the guys asking $280 for it. I haven't looked at it yet but I'm guessing its worth it as long as theres no damage to it. Does anyone have any input on this ?
Needless to say I was tired after my drive and after getting home I didn't move off my chair so maybe I can catch up with you next weekend!
Today isn't much better with all the rain. I was going to head to Cape Henlopen for a bit but decided to stay in.
Regards,
Joe

ok, so I'll let ben tell you all about his adventures. However when I showed up around 3:30 or so yesterday afternoon we got my lines in the water and yakked out. That boy has some serious mojo, within minutes of getting back from yakking all the baits out, I had a screamer on my TicaTeam st558 rod. I picked it up, leaned back and nothing.....That was the rest of the afternoon until right before sunset (several pickups and drops, good hits and Ben even got broke off by something) Several LARGE schools of bunker went through from 25' to 150' off the beach. They were so thick you could see all the rod tips bouncing around from fish running into the lines. So just before sunset My st558 starts running again, I pick it up and set the hook. The fish runs straight at the beach then sits still. I decided to throw my rod back in the holder (thought I'd lost the fish) 30 sec later it starts dancing and running agian. I belt up and start cranking line. Ended up with a 46" (fork length) sandbar. After that nothing was caught, but we had tons of hits/runs and misses. My st558 starts ripping line again sometime after midnight and I pick up to set the hook and the line goes slack....10 min later the same exact thing happened on my Penn Long Beach. There was a school of bunker going through at the time, I'm guessing a shark swam right through my line, wrapped itself up enough to pull for a min then slice through my line. All in all a great night on the sand, it got a little chilly for a while while the wind was blowing out of the SE
