Harbor Tackle Fishing Report October 31, 2007

There are still spots open for the 2nd Annual Assateague Striper Tournament held on Assateague scheduled for November 10 & 11, 2007. This is an individual tournament with cash prizes. Anyone interested may register up till 7 PM Friday, November 9, 2007. For info call 410 213-9365.

The surf is producing some flounder, a few black drum, blues, and a couple of short stripers. Nice flounder have been taken from the east channel and from the Inlet. There are more keepers than throw backs being caught. Minnows, live & cut spot, live & cut finger mullet have been the best bait. Tog fishing is getting better at all the usual places. Small bluefish are showing up in the Bay along with a few larger blues. More legal stripers are showing at the Rt. 50 Bridge and in the Inlet. Harbor Tackle is now getting in fresh ocean bunker.

Harbor Tackle will be open Thanksgiving Day until 1:30 PM.
