Harbor Tackle’s Fishing Report, November 20, 2006
Hitting in the surf were a few legal stripers mixed with undersized. Oliver Fullard caught a nice 32” bluefish this past weekend in the surf. A few big blues have been taken in the surf. Also, I am hearing of a few large blues in the inlet. Steve Mitchell took a 37” striper and Ward Mitchell hooked up with a 32” striper in the Inlet last week. Both were using eels for bait. Shad have shown up in the Inlet. Striper fishing in the Inlet is still kinda slow, but a few bigger ones are being caught. Tog are still hitting great at the 2nd – 4th Street bulkhead. One of my customers said that one of his friends caught a 23” tog and several 17 inchers. He caught so many that anything under 17 inches was too small and was thrown back. Harbor Tackle has fresh bunker, live green crabs, live eels, and live black salties.
