Default Pole question

Question for those that put poles on the front.
What is the max height you can go 12' 14' or ?
I do not want the poles hitting anything but I would like to stop disassembling every time I leave.

I have not posted for awhile, still feeding and casting not catching yet but it is only a matter of time, your info from my first thread helped and I have two out of 4 kids at least trying to cast with the old pole or laughing with me as I cast.
If you can not laugh please stay the @@II home!
Good luck and thanks for the help.

Default my experience

take em down...too much can happen, birds, road debris, etc. Maybe 8footers would be safe from lines and branches but you still have rocks and sand/dirt in your reels. A pebble hitting a blank at 25 mph can cause enough of a ding that you'll snap the rod the next time you cast it. So even if you don't care about your gear, you should care about not getting hit in the head with a sinker...worse yet, hitting someone else.

If you have a truck you could always put em in the bed or suv on the roof rack, like I do.
