Did I hear him rite when he said he had 400 pound test line on? If so what the heck is that a cable wire? I liked when his rod snapped guess it didn't live up to specs.........

Yeah, I thought 400lb is a bit much.. But I guess if it gets around those concrete pilings, it could be useful.

I thought it was overkill. the extra diameter wouldn't save him on the pilings. the drag maxed at 114 lbs. or something. 200-250 lb. test would be fine with a locked drag and he'd have a lot more line. watch his other videos and you'll see what I mean.

I will say this... I was fishing in Tampa a few years ago and couldn't figure out what was taking me into the pilings like that but now i think it may have been a big grouper
