Why do you need a license for a dog, but anyone can have a kid?

Punishment was torture for a 10-year-old boy, police said today after he allegedly was forced to stand outside naked in the cold.

“It could have killed the kid,” said child advocate Joseph M. Dell’Olio, executive director of nonprofit CHILD Inc.

The temperature at the time of the alleged incident was not disclosed, nor was the length of the child’s alleged exposure.

The boy’s mother and her partner were arrested Wednesday at their home in the first block of Westerly Street in Kimberton near Newark, according to New Castle County police spokesman Cpl. Trinidad Navarro.

Both the mother, 30-year-old Simone Roundtree, and partner Katrina Batista, 27, were charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one charge of conspiracy.

Very sad. How embarrassing for the kid, not to mention the obvious cold.

They'll get whats coming to them, but the boy is (most likely) in for a long, hard childhood.

Poor kid. Friggin terrible. Maybe they were angry he was a male and they needed some private time.
