Default If you had to pick

If you had to pick one day for drummin in Sept, what would YOU look for?

I have freedom to choose any time between now and the 20th and then after the 26th for an overnighter. I figure if I get a couple days of SE wind prior to the 20th then I'll take an early shot unless there really is no action. After that I will be less particular about the wind direction and base it off catching reports while hoping for everything to line up nice.

Should I assume that if I see a few reports here and next door and the usual folks aren't posting that the run is on? People get weird about drum from what I've seen so far.

I'm planning on driving to the line and working my way back to the best hole I found, I'm thinking the further I drive towards VA the more hardcore guys I'll find and less unoccupied holes too. May yak out a whole bait or two far with a short steel leader as well and hope for a drummy while expecting a shark. Gonna arrive on the incoming and get set up for the high that night, possible move in the morning on low and set up for the early high then possible move if no luck or don't like the beach to a final spot for my last chance before going home at the slack high. Gonna need some no-doze for this one. I'm jumping out of my freaking skin...I want it to be now! This will be 3 weeks without sand for me...
