Default hey guys, get this

some of you remember that I fished in a striper tournament last december off hatteras island. well, I am pre resistered for this years and there is a press release about the tourney that I found rather cool. this is the second tournament and it's being covered by the outdoor channel. I am already thinking about what I am gonna say when it's all over and I got a bunch of cash.

August 13, 2006

Press Release:

Wheel’s Reels Incorporated is proud to announce that Kelly Darden from Outdoor Moments on the Outdoor Channel will be covering the 2nd Annual Wheel’s Reels Striper Showdown. The tournament will be the feature for a complete “Outdoor Moments” show, with the time slot yet to be determined. This elevates our tournament from a regional event with local and regional print coverage to a nationwide, televised event reaching millions of homes across the country.

This exciting opportunity will create added exposure for the local economy, sponsors and, of course, the tournament and its participants. The 2nd Annual Wheel’s Reels Striper Showdown, sponsored by Wheel’s Reels Incorporated in conjunction with Hatteras Island Fishing Militia, will be December 1 through December 3, 2006.

For more information on this year’s tournament, sponsors and Wheel’s Reels Incorporated,

IF you can get in, I would reccomend that you do. it is an awesome tourney. I think last year I was the only one that didn't win a door prize. the door prizes are sick, weekly rentals, charter boat trips, custom rods, all the way down to custom lures. they upped the ante for the money too, it's like 3,000 for first, 1000 for second, 500 for third, 200 for fourth, and 100 for fifth in bnoth categories. and every participant gets a bag of fishbites, a carhart sweatshirt with the tourney logo, and a pack of gami 8/0 hooks, plus some other stuff in a goodie bag when you show up.
