Grassy Key report

Just returned from a terrific month in Grassy Key, Florida. I'm gonna try to load up some pictures-hope it works out. Pictures will include the results of a back country mangrove snapper trip, a patch reef trip, some Iguana shots, maybe a sunset or two, and maybe a few Heron and Pelican pictures, as well.
Three of us limited out on snapper, chumming and fishing live shrimp on jig heads...largest was around 3 lbs. On the patch reef, chumming and fishing with live shrimp on plain hooks w/a small egg sinker, managed two nice black grouper-8 and 16 lbs., and lost 2 other biggies on break-offs. Did a trip in search of my first bonefish, too...staking out flats while doing a little light chumming with shrimp...saw a few all day but no takers. As we wound in the 3rd of 4 rods to call it a day, the last rod goes off. It dropped about a hundred yards of line in nothing flat. The bonefish prevailed, however, breaking off after several minutes.
