Disney Trip report
Well, as murphy's law would have it, the red tide came and caused a cancellation of my snook and redfish trip
   But... I DID get some freshwater fishing in as the resort had a 120 acre lake in its back yard  So...guess what I did every morning before the kids woke up??? :icon_twisted: (hehehe)Overall summary of the trip: GREAT fun at disney w/ the family, a few decent bass and pickerel and...my first ever GAR! So while I didn't get a red or a snook, I did actually fulfill my goal of catching a species I've never caught before.Below is a sample of the trip. Anyone know what kind of bird that is with the grey body and red head?? It was my fishing companion, flying in across the lake each morning to fish the same areas....guess I figured I must be in the right spot if thats where the local "feathered expert" gets his breakfast.

Great Job, those are some excellent catches! I know that had to be a FUN trip. Nice pictures.

Great trip Steve...Nice Okeechobee Tackle box....Gottal love walmart sales....At least that is where I picked mine up..... I'll pull out my birdbook today and find out what Kinda of bird that is. Sucks that your Snook trip got canned, but at least you got some pullage. Oh Welcome back
