Default Sufix Tri Plus Gone Bye Bye

ok, well we have a dilemma here since about 90% of all the MD/DE people use the same line. It seems to me that sufix is no longer making the tritanium plus, I can't find it online anywhere in chartreuse. All of my normal stores are sold out and they all claim they can't get any in.

So this leaves the question what line are you going to switch to, and more importantly why?

I personally think I am going to try fireline, its not really braid and its not really mono and seems to get better the more you use it. I LOVE it on my spinning rods but I am not sure how its going to like being put on my conventionals and if it will hold up well in the surf.

I heard good things about izorline and P-line but I never tried either of those lines.

On a side note...... First they take away my SU 1569 rods, now they are taking away my Sufix Tri line, what is next my Penn 525mag reels??????? Stop the madness!!!!

I use the suffix Elite in yellow, love that line it is very strong compared to many other lines I have used, my second choice is cajun line. It is inexpensive and works well.

Sufix was sold to Normark a few months back.

Tri+ no longer.....................

I have used Siege and liked it, but it's a bit slick. Will try the Hi-vis Elite when I run out of Tri+!

I have tried both the siege and elite lines and I really didn't like either of them. As Dixie said it is very slick and really had trouble cinching down knots because your hand would slip on the line. Once you did get them to cinch down they didn't seem to bite into the line like sufix tri did. I also noticed that these lines weren't near as limp and memory resistant that the sufix tri was. honestly both the siege and elite seemed like the same line to me, One was a little stiffer than the other (i don't remember exactly which one because it was awhile ago that I tried both)

has anyone tried the sufix DNA line?

I've been using Ande Green Envy mono for years on my surf spinners (12' Ticas). No complaints and I haven't broke it (yet).
For the smaller tossers, 7 and 8 footer Penns with spinners, I use Suffix Performance Braid in 30#. It works GREAT in weeds and mangroves, limp and tosses well.

There is always going to be a he says - she says with all the different lines. It winds up being whatever is available and works for you. Some like green trucks, some like black, or whatever....
A good name brand line will be fine, try a few and figure out what you like, it really is all personal preference.

Used the Berkley Big Game Hi-Test in 15# this summer and liked it a bunch.

Also going to try Momoi next time I spool up and give it a shot as well.

I just really like the Hi-Vis and it can be hard to find sometimes in line you like.

Sure am gonna miss the Tri+!

Well that sucks. The good thing is I have about one years supply of the suffix.

I have used Ande line and that is some pretty good stuff. Don't know if they have it in yellow though.....

L O L I am still waiting for the line (among other things) I ordered 2 years ago from them. In my experiences that place is a joke and I would never recommend anyone order anything from there.
