| Ok, so I went ahead and gooped up the transducer mount with tons of silicone and actually screwed the transducer into the kayak. I think I spent less than $20 on everything here. Luckily I had that old fishfinder laying around...that really helped out alot in the cost dept. Now if I can get another good hand held GPS I'll be set.

| I have a Magellen Meridian Color with cables and mount I will let 'cha have for $180 (was $500 new). The mount should bolt right on to the yak. The GPS is waterproof and floats!

| unfortunately with a wedding next month and a tenant that hasn't paid his rent for this month I'm too strapped to buy ANYTHING fun

| Well I guess you won't be getting "another good hand held GPS" then, will ya? Let me know when you are ready, price is now $200., hehe I hear there is a boat for sale in another thread.... LOL!
