New Daiwa practice casting

I get that on my shimano's but squidders are nuts, like a perpetual motion machine. I tried one, don't know why...biggest nest in history.

Charkbait,The squidders are actually a fun reel to cast,,sorta like playing a video game,,its you,the controller that dictates the cast.The spool is wide though and its a pain in the rear sometimes to thumb your line level and my lord,,it takes forever to retrieve,,,,but for field practice i love mine.They can be magged,for about 3 bucks and mine are,Although i screwed up and left the cups an eigth of an inch too far,,,so i dont think it truly has worked for me.It will still blow up,,but thats the fun part,,thumbing the cast just enough for distace without a birds nest,just not economical while fishing.Chaz

My first experience with a conventional reel was with the 525 mag a great reel. When I practiced on the field I got it to work for me however when I got it to the beach WOW whole notha ball game blew it up and blew it up very frustrating. So now I am practicing a new reel and yet to have it on the playing field BUT I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soon fall fishing AI YEA HA!!! Blow ups or not I am determined to take my casting lessons from the field to the beach and improve my over all performance with the 30, Just feels good on the pole and I have learned alot from people in the last yr. Ted
