Took my six year old son with me this morning. Started fishing around 9:30 and there was a ton of bait in the water (within casting distance, even for me). Constant schools of bait slowly making their way northward. We only managed to catch one taylor blue and one spot, but we had numerous bites. Nonstop action kept us busy until nearly 11:30. We called it a day at 12:30.
Starting to get a little more comfortable with my surf fishing skills. Did fairly well casting, but I still haven't thrown one out giving it my all.
I think the weekend will shape up nice out there with high tide around 8:30am on sat. and 9:30 am on sunday. I might try again on sunday.
