sandbridge report 16 july

Hit sandbridge pier at first light 16 july, wind w/sw 15 water dirty at low tide but cleared up real nice by 9am. Water was cool due to the westerly flow but unlimited spot all day up and down the pier two at a time, scattered small trout here and there. Caught two flounder 16.5, 18.0 near the beach. No runs on the float, bottom or pin. Did manage a release citation on a pelican which ran into my float rig. Lots of menhaden in the water and only a few blues caught on live spot, none on gotcha's. Left pier at around noon. Tight lines....geo

Nice job on the pelican citation!

Sounds like the spot are starting to get a little thicker around here in the past two weeks.

I have not been to LIP this year yet. Is the snag still out there or has it moved away????

I believe the snag is still there although I have yet to find it this year, you should see the pier at low tide with all that sand pumping alot less pier........geo
