Starting July 1st 2009 all public fishing piers and beaches will require a SC permit.

From the pier, nothing but little Sea Bass and little sharks. On Saturday this guy hooked a 23" Cobia, had to throw it back 24" is the keeper. Then today, I had my rod snapped from what had to be a big shark at tide was coming in. I could get him about half way up then darn thing wouldn't move. 40lb line but only a 20lb rod... go figure.

Correct me if Im wrong,,,,but I think that 33" in the min length on a Cobia.......................

I needed to look that up, 33" for Cobia is right — my bad. The guy that caught it said 24".
