WOW why cant people just let normal beach activities like this continue. I say cut B.S. about the plovers thinking a kite is a predator. This is just another way to use the plovers to stop an activity that many people seem to enjoy.

This lawful, enjoyable activity seems to be the target of the "Not in my backyard" syndrone. Some folks believe that any activity that they do not enjoy, isn't fit to be enjoyed by other respectful folks. You can find many activities outside the beaches that have fallen into this group.

awesome. it's great when people make rules for the sake of making rules. i spent a couple hours on a beach in RI a while back. they had a ton of rules too. you would think that the beach should be fun for everyone.
