Fishing Photo Contest

We are currently in the process of redesigning the site's appearance. We want your best fishing pictures to represent AtlanticAnglers.com. If your photograph is chosen, it will be displayed at the top of every page, in every forum in your state!

Send your pictures to photos@atlanticanglers.com

Each forum will be using photos for the following categories:

• Home Page
• Fly fishing forum
  
• Kayak fishing forum
• Any unique fishing picture
  

Each individual state will be using photos from the following three categories:

• Local fishing related landmarks (examples would be a lighthouse, pier, etc.
  
• People holding fish (preferably catch and release)
  
• Offshore fishing pictures

There will also be several prizes awarded courtesy of our site sponsors including:

• Discounted Charter Services

Send your pictures to photos@atlanticanglers.com

Please be sure to include the following information with your photo submission:

• Your full name, address, and contact number
  
• AtlanticAnglers.com member name
  
• Name of photographer
  
• The location where the photo was taken
  

-Photos must be taken by the individual submitting the photo or have permission from the photographer
-Make sure they are high quality pictures (resolution)
-Please do not use watermarks or copyrights
-All pictures must be received by January 15th, 2009
-Charter Services are subject to availability as determined by the sponsor
-All photos submitted for this contest can be used by AtlanticAnglers.com for the purpose of site design and promotion.

We are quickly expanding into several states in both Inshore and Offshore fishing, actually much faster than we had anticipated. I have had several inquiries from our members and site guests who are looking for experienced, knowledgeable Charter Boat Services. We would like to be able to refer our members to folks we can rely on.

We are now accepting a limited number of reliable Charter Boat Captains who would like to post their fishing reports in exchange for free advertising. Due to tough economical times, we think this type of information sharing is very important and beneficial to everyone.

Once you have registered, create a new report in your states Fishing Section. If approved, your member status would be promoted to "Content Contributor" and this will give you the ability to post your charter boat's business contact information at no charge to you. Feel free to use our Image Upload feature to include pictures with your posts.

If you have any questions regarding this announcement, assistance with your current website or other advertising opportunities, feel free to contact me.

Attention Members who have uploaded pictures using the Photo Gallery:

With the new version of vBulletin (this site's software) there is a great new photo gallery feature already integrated. You can find it under on your Profile Page.

I have disabled the old gallery and backed up all the pictures. I have uploaded them to the server (approximately 40MB). I will be sending the original album users a link to download these files.

To those who had an album using the old software, please send me a PM so I can send you a link to the pictures. Once you get them, please upload your pictures to your own Profile Page.
