I read the site way more than I post and I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting up with any of you guys, although I still want to. I have stopped and talked with lots of fishermen on the beach, but nobody from the site. I also fish the Va. end about as much as I fish the Md. side and then I am in the Bay and Choptank quite often also, anyway I am going to throw out three names --- my opinion for what its worth ---thanks and good luck to all

Thumbs up

My vote would go to Coop.
I live for his reports and he seems to be fishing when no one else is. Coop is always willing to give you a report, whether it is good or bad news.

When it comes to pure fishing and reporting, it's hard to beat Racn35 and Coop. Sam pulled me out of a hole, though,at the drum tourney. And I caught a Shark on Jim (ffemtreed) 's conventional rig this summer. And OC Snapper was fun working with on the flings ( 2008 ? )and hanging out with all night. Esox Phil and The afore mentioned Mr Reed were great on the drum tourney- for 2 1/2 nights and days. Randy hooked me up with a thumbdinger that has helped me learn the "dark side" of the casting world. Charkbait, Steve, and .... well everyone else on this site has been helpful in my quest for more and better surf fishing.

If my 2 younger boys were here to influence this post, they would most certainly favor ffemtreed ( and Amanda), because they just love those big dogs!

One thing is for sure, if you actively participate in this great site, you will become a better fisherman/woman. It most certainly lives up to it's claim..."Learn How to Catch More Fish"! Everbody, well done!!

I been trying to set back and stay out of it completely, cause those others mentioned have caught some nice fish and go kinda often.........but there is one guy that comes here everyday to welcome new members, post reports with photos, and has caught one heck of a lot of fish. I also am a volunteer for the Virginia Gamefish Tagging Program- I do this for FREE and tagged over 700 flounder,300 black drum and lots of Red Drum,Spadefish and Sea Bass. I dont chase paperwork or plaques but did catch and release 17 citation fish last year too......... I prolly caught more flounder in 1 summer than any person I know catches in 5 years......

By the reports of other states I caught more freshwater fish than all states combined on the whole forum !!

Freshwater,Inshore,Offshore.....boat or surf... I fished in the pouring down rain and the blizzard of falling snow.......If I had not done it myself I am not sure if I would beleive me either !!

Here are just a few of my favorites from 2007............
( I could post a 1001 but I would be run out of town )

I was in Aug & Nov cant say I recall anyone else with two months,......theres just a few pics.....those posted above are all 2007 .........Here is where I keep them and all the rest.....along the left side there are 25 or so sub folders that contain lots of stipud stuff I keep in my albums too. I also fish mate on a charter boat and want you to know that not a single photo on there is of a charter trip.....those are all fished on my own time. I retired from the military....worked on jets for 22 years. Airframes and hydraulics. Now I am a welder.....when I wanna be,that is.

2007 was the most I ever got to fish in my life.......

The story behind the story is this::: I retired from the Navy in 2001 after 22 years of service to my country. Trying to adjust my income from the active duty to retired will not cut it so I went to work in P-town as a welder .....there I worked for the next 4 years......7 days a week to make up for the money I used to make.....I worked millions of hours overtime and didnt get any time to do anything at all......for over 3 years I didnt get to fish, hunt or drive my race car at all. Then as some know I had cancer, spent a year in the hospitial and kicked cancers ass, went right back to work fulltime AGAIN and my boss said man you need to take some time off......so I started working every other day and then finally just came in when they called me in 2006. I am not one to go on the internet and beg for prayers and sympathy in any way because I was in the hospitial everyday for over a year, I never posted it once........very simply I look at LIFE way way way differant now and as 2007 proves I will spend the rest of my life doing what I like more than punching a clock making some one else rich !! You all can go to work Monday but I'll be fishing ...........I paid my dues, paids off all my bills, bought a new truck & boat .........what good did it do me to work 7 days a week and bank my paycheck just for some doctor to tell me I have less than 6 months to live ......that was 3 years ago........I had my monthly probing at the hospitial YESTERDAY........bad news folks..........your stuck with me a while longer !!!
