Exclamation Cancelled!!!

This event has been cancelled

This notice was posted at Old Inlet Bait & Tackle....

After consultation with the State Park the tournament committee has elected to cancel the tournament citing safety concerns related to unsafe beach conditions and an unfavorable forecast through the weekend.

The beaches are currently closed and the ramps have been washed out. The State Park has informed the tournament committee that the earliest the ramps could be repaired is late Saturday or early Sunday. Given that high tide is around 7am on Sunday and the weather forecast if for heavy southeast winds it is unlikely that the beaches would be reopened and that the necessary repairs could be made.

Pursuant to tournament rules, with more than 250 particpants preregistered, the prizes and prize monies (with exception of the trophies/bronzes) will be given away by lottery at 2:30pm on Sunday September 28 at the Savage's Ditch Pavillion just south of Old Inlet. Registered participants do not need to be present to win prizes.

Registrations for the tournament lottery drawing will still be accepted through 8pm Friday. Preregistered participants can pick up their tournament packets until 8pm Friday as well.

For more info call: 302-227-7974.
