Default Another day another shark....

Well.......The next day after the BIG Sandbar I was at 3r's trying again. The flies were unbearable, but I was able to catch this just before the whole biting flie colony descended upon my car......
I hate west wind.......

She measured 7ft 8 inches.......
It was nice to get a crowd on the beach to see her.....

Well, back at it again tonight!!! If you want to get out sharking tonight at 3r's road.....there will be a bunch of us fishing for them toothy critters......

Ben

How do you ever go back to bass fishing after catching all these monsters?

Put a pic on of your baited-up rig.

I am using the same rig that the guys in Texas use. It is a double j-hook rig with a sliding spider weight. I am using 12/0 hooks that are NOT Stainless Steel. They will rust out very quickly if you can not get the hook out......

As for bait- I am always scanning up and down the beach for bent rods......9/10 times it is a stingray or a skate........

And so far ever person has been excited to hand me their catch once they hear I am using it for shark fishing. Each ray makes a solid 1-2 baits. If I got down and caught a bunch of them, I would only use one per bait and leave it out for much longer (the texas guys will let a single ray bait sit for 24-48 hours).

Yes, my sharks are coming from Delaware drive one beaches. I am trying to find another time when I can come down and do some sharking! I'd love to do it with some of you guys. As long as I know that there will be enough bait (skate/ rays) to make 5-6 big baits.....I am there!!

I might have a picture of one of my baits......I will try to find it....

Ben
