The flounder fishing is good inshore along the anchorage edges and shallow water structures. Fishing with minnows (either with or without a strip of squid), is a good choice of bait. Try using fresh cut bait of tapered strips of sea robin or shark belly. A lot of bluefish have been caught on the Indian River jetty with the flood tide using bucktails, gotcha plugs or anything metal. Fish for big rockfish when it is dark and after the heavy boat traffic subsides. Using green crabs or sand fleas for Taug at the Indian River inlet rails is a good choice. Source |
