Default FIRST BLUE FIN AT INDIAN RIVER

Well the rumors are true there was a blue fin tuna caught yesterday. This 37.5lb blue fin was caught inside the Wilmington on the 55 fathom line. They were trolling with a green squid spreader bar. Not sure about the water temp. though. The Stress Reel-ief brought their catch to Hook 'em & Cook 'em at Indian River Marina. Let's hope this is a sign of things to come.

Pictured are Capt. Fred Winward, Don Wingate, Capt. Brandt Hart and Greg Hook, all from Ocean View, Delaware.

The regs are set by NMFS. Applicable to everybody. 1 schoolie 27-47" per boat/day, 1 @ 47-73" per boat/day, and 1 over 73".

Point taken. But landing the fish, and being the first of the year gives some bragging rights I guess, and your name on the board at IRM, if you're into that.

Running 60 miles each way in that regulator, to catch 1 37# fish tho, how much does that tuna cost per lb?
