I'd look for the bite to be non existant for the next 10 days and get increasingly better through the first week of April, after which it will die as they get ready to spawn.
Look for water temps to hit 42-45 and then MAYBE they'll start to feed in the surf.

There should be some shorts to be had now but as we get towards the end of March and the beginning of April, we may have a few nice fish in the surf heading either to the de bay, hudson or who knows where else to spawn (or just plain confused fish)....just a few. Like Ben says, after that little burst in March/April, we may have to wait till May for a decent shot at a cow...blues and a few black drum will be here end of April and the beginning of May.
