Default Sharkin

Alright now I've seen enough of these pictures of sharkin' and it's eating away at me. I haven't ever caught a shark (not including the countless dogfish).... I just wanted to get some feedback on what it's like. I've heard they're a great fight, but is it really possible for amateur surf fishermen to get 'em?

Just do a search on this board for shark rigs, shark fishing, etc.
You will find LOTS of reading! July and August are the "big" months.
