Man thats been in the works for some time,can't beleave they got started with no protesters.Heard stories that back years ago,you could catch flounder in the canal,and that fish migrated between the two bays.

Yeah boyee that's the idea. It kinda sux that they can only work on it for 3 months a year, but hey....I've waited this long....

Also, it's going to dramatically improve oxegenation of the upper Assawoman Bay with the new water coming in everyday.

Win win, imo.

I've never been in the upper bay, been as far as the Ditch,Harpoon Hanna's.It sounds like a nice day trip for a boat ride to visit friends in Baycity.My boat draws about 12-14" with motor up.Thought about the wave runners but we would need to find a place for fuel on the other end to top off the tanks.
