Good picture, Roger.
You can never really tell what is going to be in that ocean. There could be bulls, tigers or hammerheads... But like Scott said, the majority that we have seen or caught are not aggressive towards humans.

There are 140 species of Charks in the Mid-Atlantic waters. Ninety percent stay off shore but there are no fences keeping them away from the coast (Duh?)...
Bulls are indeed up here, in fact the 1916 attack in a NY creek was thought to be a Bull. They are all around Solomon's Island in the CB every evening tearing up the Skate. A bull was found in a pound net at the top of the CB. They have been seen in the MS river in St. Louis!! I did a lot of flying in FL, saw lots of Chark. I remember one flight over Daytona Beach looking down at the hundreds of swimmers. Guess what was swimming all around them, probably within three feet.... The people never knew. Just like at AI, we swim or fish and yak a bait out. They're right there watching us. Coop is very correct, they don't want us. The one sighted in Rehoboth was probably another 8 footer on the end of Ben's line...

Its weird, we saw lots of shark and rays playing in the surf at Bethany. There was one shark that many people saw jump out of the water (it was a nice size shark- I think it was 5' +). The people seemed more EXCITEDthen they seemed worried, and many were calling me "the shark kid"- even though i tried to keep my catches on the DL. Its like no one was worried about them, which is kindof an OK mentality? it was intresting ![]()

I think we'd be suprised how many people (not the majority, but plenty of them) realize they are stepping into a domain where they are no longer the Apex Predator when they go into the water, which is good, that is what people need to realize
