Wink New Years Day Dinner

Well, with the rain, wind and just nasty stay at home weather; I decided to make dinner for the family. I used Skylar's recipe with a few twists and some black drum that was caught this spring.
  • Some Black drum coated with peanut oil, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and fresh dill baked at 350 degrees
  • Fresh baked asparagus (had to go to 4 grocery stores to find) with peanut oil, sea salt and bacon
  • Fresh steamed broccoli spears
  • Makers Mark Whiskey boiled until a syrup consistency and then combined with:
  • Diced shallots, chopped garlic, chopped dill, chopped sage all sautéed in butter until clear.
  • After the fish was fully cooked, it was coated with the sautéed concoction and served with iced tea and finished off with a small glass of 10 year old Port.
Beautiful meal with a kerosene lantern, the lights turned down and a little jazz in the background.
