Ahhhhh the bladder tank. Not a bad option just make sure that you secure it well, these things do not take corners well, unless you want to give the kids the biggest water balloon fight ever. I see alot of guys carry these though, you will have to climb on the camper to fill this one I am afraid, better call the wife.

I have my 35 gallon tank mounted the way Scott described earlier and I have had no problems. You bring up a good point with possibly trading the camper in next spring. However you are more than likely going to keep the tank for your next camper so just un strap it and all you will be out is a board and some eye hooks.
As far as filling the tank I don't really trust the ladder either. I have the hose coming from the top of the tank then I keep a quarter turn cutoff valve on the end and I just put a female/female coupling on and hook up the hose to my garden hose. When the tank is full turn the cutoff valve and I am ready to ride.

I'm more worried about what they'll think of the board glued to the roof......but I guess I can 'forget' it's up there if I go that route.....

Great idea on how to fill it......

Thanks for the info.....

Above all things remember to spred out the weight and try to keep it as close to the sides and the corners of the camper as possible water weighs exactly 8.35 lbs. per gallon, that is 292.25 lbs. at 35 gal. and that is alot of stress on the roof when you hit bumps. : AMSA # 244

You guys don't have any pics of your tank set up by any chance do you?

This way I (and those reading this in the future) could actually see the board mount etc...

Default HELP!!

Cut the 2x6 long enough so that when you set the tank on top of the boards that you still have a good 8 or 10 inches from the base of the tank to the end of the board on both sides. Next you are going to need a tube of QUAD and you are going to want to glue the boards with eye bolts in them ( make sure that the bolts are recessed in the board with a paddle bit ) and glue the boards where you want them on the top of your camper. Then place the tank on the boards and fill with water and DON'T move the camper for a day or two. Had some experience with that and it wasn't really all that hot. Once it is dry ratchet it down and off you go. Haven't had any problems to date. Seems to work well. I don't know if your camper has a luggage rack because that would be an even better option.

Hey Scott, What is this Quad and were do I get a tube, and one other Question do you fill your tank at home before you leave or somewhere closer to the beach?

Thanks Chris

I can try and take some pics this weekend for you. You can get the quad at most builder supply stores. Make sure that when you use it that you don't waste a whole lot of time putting the boards down. I always fill my tank before I leave home and remember it is better to travel either full or empty if possible you don't want a half tank of water moving around and sloshing. With a full tank you don't have as much of that.

What about the higher CG?
Do you hold your breath during turns?
That's a pretty long arm.
