The Summer has been crazy with campers. That makes the time go by waiting for fall surf fishing. Here are some pictures over the last month of fish weighed from the bay.

This weekend the Surf was active with Croaker, Small Blues, Kingfish, Spot, Sharks and Flounder. Fishbites and squid have been the bait of choice.

Maggie Megee of Selbyville DE Caught this nice 19" 2 1/2lbs in the surf at AI on the high tide on 07/22/07.



Douglass Coates caught this nice 36 3/4", 14 1/2lbs Rockfish in the OC Inlet on a Lure on 07/28/07

This week in the surf we did hear of a red drum from a reliable source. This seems to be very early for our water temperatures also two small rockfish were caught in the surf. In the bay several flounder the large ones seem to be hitting on live spot.

I have heard the same rumor, a few caught with sizes around 30-50, but again it is all hearsay. The source i heard it from is also very reliable.
