5/5/07 William Hutson caught Bluefish ranging from 17" to 31 3/4" on fresh bunker, herring, and white perch and a kingfish 12 3/4" on bloodworms off the surf

5/5/07 Bradford Jager of MD and friends caught bluefish rangeing from 18" to 32" off the surf. These fish were caught in a 2 1/2hr period. All caught on fresh bunker.

In the bays their have been some nice flounder caught, for dinner last night I had fresh flounder a nice gentleman caught and gave me this week and they were very good. My grandfather Buck cooked them. I had a guy today say he was catching blues in the inlet. In the surf they have caught come nice stripers this week.

AI surf Maggie Megee Caught a 31" Rockfish

Congrats to Maggie Megee of Selbyville De on winning 1st and 2nd place in the Royce Evans & Tootie Booth Rockfish Tournament. 05/19/07 31" Rockfish and 31" Bluefish on bunker head in AI surf.



David Nengel of Berlin MD Caught a 32" 9lb Bluefish In the AI surf on fresh bunker


In the surf this weekend Bluefish and Rockfish were caught. In the bay plenty of flounder 15 1/2" to 18 1/2" and bluefish were reported.

Harry Trimble and Sonny Pace of Berlin MD caught 6 keepers on 5/22/07 16 1/2" to 18 1/2" they had 4 throw backs. Caught near snug harbor on squid and minnows. Nice catch guys. They weather is looking great for the weekend. Now we need to catch some more fish.

Ed Baker of Ocean City caught 5 Rockfish on AI last night 2 were 34" caught on bunker heads and the smaller ones were caught on cut bunker. He also caught a 28" Bluefish plus 15-20 smaller blues. This morning in the same spot a 40" Rockfish was caught by a friend of Eds. Nice weather and nice fish.

I know the Rockfish have slowed down, but on 06/07/07 Mike Hasting of Berlin, MD weighed in this nice 48" 45lb Striper from the surf caught on bunker head.


06/09/07 Debbie Dowell of Essex, MD caught this nice 20" 2 1/2lb flounder from a boat near the OC Airport on live minnows.

Fishing Report 06/20/07

In the Surf this week Blues have been caught. A few croaker and kingfish were caught also.

This past weekend lots of flounder were caught in the bays. Most of the ones we weighed in the weekend were caught near the OC Airport.

Surf Fishing has been slow Skates, Sharks, Few kingfish, croaker and small blues. In the bay Flounder have been small . I have heard from Larry Wheeler some seasonals from Frontier Town Campground are still limiting out near the OC airport. Croaker had been hitting in the bay also.
