Try the run over to the Tangier sound...its a long (20ish miles) run but I've often found the fishing in the sound a little more productive than the actual bay. Fish the edge of the channel with bottom rigs baited with squid strips and bloodworms. You should catch Spot, Croaker, trout and flounder on that. Get a Medium Heavy rod, matched with a reel loaded with some 50# Power Pro. Throw a Chrome/color of your choice 2oz Stingsilver and drop it straight down. Jig while you're waiting for your bottom rig to produce. The jig will give you striper, blues, trout and flounder. If you decide to head up to Sandy point, work the pilings....same concept there too.....
