Spinning or conventional baitcast I've always used my left hand.....crankin on the left side for both of them( and none of that upside down backwards crap either ........Been a lefty all my life...

I definitely like the static mag concept...maybe I can get one of those 5 minute lessons one of these days.................

The static mag is a 30 second lesson, the 5 minute lesson is the knobby mag.

You lose a lot of flexibility with the static mag, there is no adjusting the mag force for wind conditions or temp. I actually use both versions in my reel. I have a reel small static mag thats in and also a slightly larger knobby magnet to make adjustments with.
