If you been using spinning reels in the left handed setup (crank on right side) then using a right handed conventional (crank on right side) should not feel weird to you.

I never really understood why spinning reels have the crank on the left side and conventional on the right side.

The Avets are super nice reels, I love the lever drag. They are super duper easy to static mag yourself. Only slightly more difficult to do an adjustable knobby mag, it just takes a lot of guts to drill a hole into your new 190 dollar reel. (no drilling necessary for static mag). Coop is our resident expert on the Avet reels and magging them. He showed me how to do it in 5 minutes while sitting on the beach.
