If you need to rent a yak my Buddy at Time out sports in Mt Pleaseant can hook ya up. They have Fishing yaks fully rigged for rent. His info is:

THis has all the stuff. Dave is a GREAT guy and really knows the area and the reds. He is the guy standing up fighting the red in his yak. Give him a call and he'll get ya squared away. I think it is like $45 a day for the yaks but it may be cheaper since it is later in the season. Reds from the beach is a hit and miss thing. I know a few guys who SLAY them but they are very few. A yak is the way to go. Definately shoot me an e-mail when you are coming and if I can;t make it out to fish with ya I'll dang sure make sure you know where to go.

That 7 footer you have is fine. I normally have 2 medium 7 footers loaded with Powerpro, those big reds will snap you off in a heartbeat in the grass on Mono, and one other lighter 7 footer rigged up with 12lb mono for trout and smaller reds. Cut mullet is the bait of choice right now but mud minnows slay the trout and once the shrimo really depart the DOA shrimp under a cajun thunder will do you right! Like I said shoot me an e-mail when you have a firm date and I'll try and get something set up for ya. Kinda like a practice guide trip. Any of you guys heading down this way feel free to contact me and like I said if I can get off time and go with great but I will either hook you up with some good spots or if you like guides we have some of THE best around here!
