Nice brookie, I knew there were brook trout in
Va. Just not as popular as rainbow and most people dont target them. They are good fighters and love to jump when hooker. I think they are the most colorful freshwater fish in the US. Best of all they are great to eat. Especially the wild ones as opposed to the farm raised stocked variety. I dont know but the ones that have been farm raised and feed basically dog food all thier lives just dont seem to have the same flavor as one that is a native fish.
