put out of mt vernon with a friend, headed into the pocomoke sound for a bit of hh and possible striper action. started @ noon. anchored up in 5' of water
first big fish hit @ 2pm. it was a hoss, mike fought it for 10min. we debated pulling anchor, but never did. the fish cam up along side the boat, just out of net range. thrashed its tail, and took off, bent the hook strait. it had to be over the 41" slot.
we fished there for a while, then headed over to the nanticoke for some hh action, nothing biting there, headed back to pocomoke sound, anchored up again in 5' of water. as the sun started getting low the bite picked up. many small rock under the limit, then the wife landed a 33", her largest fish ever, she will be smiling for a week.
mike landed the next keeper @ 34" , my largest of the day was 22". the hardhead we were catching were over 17". i'll try and get picks of the rock tomorrow.
no need to troll, just find a shallow area near a river mouth in the legal area, and your all set. water temp was @ 62. oh yeah some of the hh were caught on gulp pealer crab, everything else on bloods
