Hatteras Report for week of Oct. 24 - Nov. 4, 2006
We had a great time in Hatteras. The first of the week fishing was good and so was the weather. The guys fishing caught about 20 puppy drum size range 25 to 27 inches, some small blues, and kingfish. Just north of the Point had the best fishing. We had a great fish fry with the fish. The weather changed and the wind picked up on Thursday just in time for the tournament. The team did not place very well in the Cape Hatteras Anglers Club Tournament. You would think they were a bunch of rookies. They placed 102 in 120 teams. I should be ashamed of myself to give their standings. We spent an extra night in Buxton - our truck broke down. Terry would have been happy to have gotten an extra day fishing, but he had no way to get to the beach so instead he was at odds with himself with what to do. I must admit it was nice to get an extra day to do nothing. We both took an extra long nap and had a nice dinner at the Diamond Shoals restaurant. I have some pictures if I can figure out how to get off my phone. Maybe you see pictures or maybe not.
