I'm a newbie too - but i went ahead and got #12 malin wire and a haywire twist tool (Dubro) from BPS. Pretty easy to do with the tool.
That being said, I haven't caught a shark on the malin wire yet - I have caught a sandbar on a 80lb flourocarbon leader lol |
